More excitement in ‘Casino Royale’?

Daniel Craig says the James Bond that will be seen in ‘Casino Royale’ will be more human than in previous movies.

Craig told the BBC’s ‘Film 2006′ show: “I just wanted to see him make a few mistakes.

“I want to make the audience believe that it’s all going to go wrong and then when it goes right it’s much more exciting.”

He added: “I’m a Bond fan. If I go and see a Bond movie there are certain things I think should be in it. And they’re there. We’ve got them in spades.

“Nobody knows more than I do how important this is, and it’s my job to get it right.”

On the physical side of playing 007, he said: “Every day you pick up an injury and you’re battered and bruised. If you’re not physically fit then it’s difficult to get through.”

We have another James Bond birthday with Timothy Dalton celebrating his 60th today.

The Welshman starred as 007 in two movies – The Living Daylights in 1987 and Licence to Kill in 1989.

Sequel for Casino Royale

Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has revealed that a sequel to ‘Casino Royale’ is already in the works.

Broccoli said: “We are already working on the sequel. We’re in the early stages of that. It will be an original story but will continue part of what the story is in Casino Royale.”

Producer on Bahamas filming

Producer Michael Wilson has spoken about filming ‘Casino Royale’ on location in the Bahamas.

Wilson said: “A lot of the locations featured on the film will be in the Bahamas. About 80 per cent will be filmed in Nassau and then there is a second unit which is supposed to be Madagascar.”

He added: “The Bahamas is ideal for filming because of its close proximity to the United States, where equipment can be readily purchased. Bahamians speak English and are familiar with film units.”

No tuxedo for Bond

It appears that James Bond won’t be donning a tuxedo in new movie ‘Casino Royale’.

007 actor Daniel Craig told The Sun newspaper: “The only time you’ll see me wearing one is in the promo.”

U2 to perform Bond theme?

Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has hinted that U2 could perform the theme song to ‘Casino Royale’.

Broccoli said: “David Arnold will be composing the soundtrack but we have not yet chosen who is doing the song. I think U2 are great. Bono actually wrote the song for GoldenEye but Tina Turner performed it.”
