Not so Happy Feet for Bond

Happy FeetA movie about singing Penguins beat Casino Royale to first place at the US box office last weekend.

It’s estimated that ‘Happy Feet’ made $42.3m, while Daniel Craig’s first outing as James Bond made $40.6m.

Happy Feet is an animated movie featuring the voices of Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman.

Pirates of the Casino Royale

Amazingly two pirated versions of the newly released Casino Royale were already online days after the movie’s opening night. Reportedly there have already been 200,000 downloads.

Apparently one version was shot using a camcorder in a cinema and was of poor picture and sound quality.

Envisional’s head of piracy intelligence, Dr David Priceat, said: “There are now several million active digital pirates.”

Of course, those of you who want to experience the latest James Bond offering in all its glory can do so via your local cinema!

David ArnoldOn Bond composer David Arnold’s official website they have released good news regarding the soundtrack for ‘Casino Royale’.

The recording and mixing of Casino Royale finished early this morning 11th october.The soundtrack album will be released by Sony records.We dont have a release date yet,but the good people at sony are pulling all the stops out to get it out ASAP.Casino Royale is released in the UK on November 16th and the 17th in the USA before being released worldwide.

Connery named best Bond

Sean ConnerySean Connery has beaten George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan in ‘the best James Bond of all time’ poll, run by SFX magazine.

SFX editor Dave Bradley said: “Everyone has their own memories about their favourite James Bond.

“Connery was the quintessential Bond – he was so strong in the role that even though successive generations in the meantime have grown up with their own James Bonds, Connery is the still the ultimate 007.”

Comedian to host Bond show

David WalliamsLittle Britain star David Walliams is to present a one-hour show called, ‘My Life With James Bond’ for ITV television.

Walliams said: “Unfortunately I have never been asked to play James Bond, but I have been asked to present this new documentary. I promise not to camp it up. Too much.”
